A Message From Sheryl

We deserve a city government that works for – and with – we, the people to provide those things we consider most important, including:

• Ensuring our safety
• Preserving and enhancing our property values
• Maintaining our attractive, peaceful and family-oriented community.

Many of us have little interaction with city government. Problems arise when government at any level extends its actions beyond its legitimate functions. Those who use public dollars to serve the public must be held to account or excesses occur.

However, too much city business in PVE has been conducted behind closed doors for too long – without public oversight. This must change. That is why I am running for City Council. As with federal and state government, our city should make its decisions and take its actions in the light of day.

City government works for us. Our elected officials need to reign in bureaucratic excess and ensure accountability to us – the residents of PVE. We need to assure that our city government administers laws, rules and regulations fully, fairly and in an unbiased manner that serves the interests of all residents of the Estates.

Our city government must perform its responsibilities in a professional, businesslike and ethical manner. In short, we need a city government that is as special and unique as the community in which we live.
